Experience in Seismic
Interpretation

|
The optimal interpreter
of a seismic data volume is a petroleum geologist
that is capable of integrating subsurface geologic data, regional stratigraphy, and
geophysical interpretation together in a thorough review of an area.
Our approach is to utilize our considerable experience in interpretation to
efficiently delineate a prospective target, while special geophysical tasks -
such as 3D project design and implementation - will be contracted out to a
specialist within our network of geophysical consultants. We load
all 2D and 3D projects into our workstations using SMT's
2D 3D Pak
software, performing all interpretation in-house; we are also
cross-disciplined in the use of Landmark and SeisX software. In our
role as Geophysical Data Manager for Vision's Exploration Program, we exercise
special care in the maintenance of our license agreements, field and final
tapes, and support data. |

|
We have earned a reputation for accurate seismic
interpretation and innovative prospect generation. While we admire, respect and
learn from the work of our predecessors, we will not hesitate to challenge any
pre-conceived notions that might have caused a potentially lucrative seismic
play to have gone unnoticed. Our principal goal is to employ seismic data as a useful tool in the development of a prospect. Key "show wells" -
noteworthy for their shows of oil and/or gas in the target reservoir - are also
very important. The optimal seismic prospect is one
that combines good 3D data with abundant well control and one or several key show wells.
